PokerStars and French negotiations continue


1/30/2012 :  Online poker giant shows willingness to resolve player issues
 
Following the successful comprise reached earlier this month between PokerStars and French negotiators on changes to rake calculations and VIP rewards, industry observers report similar on further week-long negotiations between the online poker giant and  representatives from a wider player interest group nominated by the twoplustwo poker forum community.
 
Solutions from the “player meeting” as reported by twoplustwo include PokerStars agreeing to reduce its rake by 2 percent from its previous 1 percent, equating to a net revenue gain to players and a loss to PokerStars, the relaxation of VIP Club status requirements and the introduction of new microstakes levels.

PokerStars has reportedly recognised that its communication methods were insufficient and has expressed willingness in providing more notice in future of changes that affect its customers.
 
Additionally, PokerStars has committed to the introduction of a bi-annual meeting for player representatives during the months of April and November to discuss player issues.
