The Pokerstars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) starts this Sunday and will be generating plenty of media coverage and excitement for the next two weeks, with 138 tournaments and $40 million in guaranteed prize pools.
This year's SCOOP will again be divided into three buy-in levels – low, medium and high in order to cater for all budgets, with low-end buy-ins as small as $7.50 rising to high-end buy-ins of up to $21,000.
Most popular genres of the game will be available in the events, including NLHE, Pot Limit Omaha, Badugi, Triple Draw 2-7, and Stud.
Highlights are likely to be the main event and a High Roller Heads Up competition that is likely to attract big bankroll notable names. Top-end buy-ins for these two events are $10,300 and $21,000 respectively.
Pokerstars is running SCOOP satellites for most of the events around the clock, which gives online poker fans the chance to play for considerable prize money on a small investment.
