Pokerstars Vs Fulltilt Pros Tournament

Sunday March 03,2013 : CIVIL WAR AS POKER PROS MEET IN A $300,000 CONTEST

Pros from sister sites Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker all set to mix it up

What started as some Twitter trash-talking between poker pros on the teams of sister online poker sites Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker has developed into an interesting ‘civil war' clash between top international players on the two professional teams.

Gus Hansen will lead the Full Tilt Poker team of Viktor Blom and Tom Dwan, who will face off against Pokerstars team leader Daniel Negreanu and his powerful team mates Isaac Haxton and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier in a battleship-style  heads up live clash scheduled to take place on March 10 during the Pokerstars European Poker London tournament next week.

At stake is a $300,000 prize pool as the pros clash on three simultaneous freeze-out tables, with the winning team the one that wins the majority of the three games.

There will be live online coverage through the FTP site for fans of these big-name clashes between players who have delivered more than their fair share of thrills and spills as rivals in previous high-profile competitions.

The competitive spirit so apparent in these top players will be encouraged by financial reward; the winner of each heads up will take $50,000 from his opponent, and each member of the pro team that wins the overall competition will pick up $10,000-worth of tournament buy-ins, courtesy of the opposing team's  poker room.
