Polish sports bettors anticipate legal online fixed odds sportsbetting

Fortuna zakłady bukmacherskie, a subsidiary of Fortuna Entertainment Group NV, has reported signing up 10 000 individual subscribers in just four weeks in preparation for the launch of its efortuna.pl online fixed-odds sports betting offering later this year.

Recent amendments to the Polish Gambling Act that came into force July 14, 2011 enable legally licenced Polish bookmakers to offer online fixed-odds betting services to the Polish market.

"We are very content with such result. Moreover, we are expecting that these are the people that will be using Fortuna´s to-be-launched-soon on-line services," said Jan Stefanek, Fortuna zakłady bukmacherskie CEO.
