Data-mining website complies with PokerStars request

Wednesday, May 2,2012 : PTR LINK FOR CUSTOMISABLE PLAYER PROFILES (Update)

Data-mining website complies with PokerStars request

Poker Table Ratings (PTR) has released a player profile management feature in beta phase allowing players, under their poker screen name, to moderate comments made by others on their PTR profile along with avatar personalisation and biography capabilities.

PTR intends expanding the current options, currently enabled for the Cake, Merge, OnGame, Party Poker and iPoker networks, to provide more customisation and privacy setting options in the near future.

The initiative is presumably a prelude to the introduction of opt-in or out functionality for players following a stand off with PokerStars last month .

A PTR statement read:

“As many of you know, PokerStars requested that we change our poker results pages for their players. We have fully agreed to do so and are already making the changes necessary to be entirely within their terms and conditions for 3rd party websites.

"Our goal is to be a positive influence on the online poker community for players and brands alike, a place where poker players from all levels, stakes, and backgrounds can come and enjoy the features we offer.”

Details on setting up the link are available at http://www.pokertableratings.com/blog/2012/04/introducing-ptr-link/
