High stakes action on the virtual tables the theme of "Runner, Runner".

The excitement generated by high stakes online poker action is celebrated in a new movie project that will be directed by Brad Furman of "The Lincoln Lawyer" fame, and star Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake.

The entertainment news publication IndieWire reports that details on the story and characters have not yet been released, but the theme is the world of internet high stakes poker, with a taut script written by David Levien and Brian Koppelman, no strangers to playing the odds.

The duo wrote "Rounders" which also looked at gambling, but a lot has changed since 1998 when that film hit theatres.

The timeframe on the "tantalising" new project is still loose, according to IndieWire, which notes that Affleck will likely be in post/doing press for "Argo" as it heads into theatres this fall, whilst Timberlake is going back-to-back on the Coen Brothers "Inside Llewyn Davis" and is shooting "Trouble With The Curve" with Clint Eastwood this spring.
