Steve O Dwyer wins World Poker Tour Vejle

WPT Vejle falls to Steve O'Dwyer
Just a week after picking up GBP29,132 in the European Poker Tour competition in Copenhagen, US pro Steve O'Dwyer has taken down the World Poker Tour Vejle at the Casino Munkebjerg Vejle in Denmark.
289 entrants ponied up $2,175 apiece to play in the event, raising a prize pool of around $572,220, but after three days of hard-charging poker only six remained on a final table on the fourth day.
O'Dwyer – in the chip lead on 2,636,000; faced nearest rival Martin Tønnesen on 1,524,000; Kenneth Laursen; Jan V. Sørensen; Justin Lund; and Claus Uhrskov.
The heads up saw O'Dwyer confronting, and beating, fellow American Martin Tonnesen.
O'Dwyer's first prize was a healthy boost to his bank account of DKK 893,960 (about GBP100,167) whilst Tonnesen's second placing earned him DKK490.140 (about GBP54,919.)
