Sunday  November 13, 2011 :  Barton to speak at US online gambling policy conference

Industry veteran Sue Schneider's company has organised the Digital Gaming and Lottery Policy Summit, which will take place December 5-6, 2011 at the Washington, DC Hilton Alexandria Mark Center.

The format is designed to bring together regulators, policymakers, gambling operators, lotteries and technology providers under one roof in order to address policy changes in the United States that could result in the regulation of new forms of electronic, interactive gambling.

This collaborative, inclusive event will provide a unique forum through which attendees will achieve critical strategic and educational goals, through a set of shared objectives aimed at building stronger relationships among all parties and a deeper understanding of the issues involved. The Summit will include two full days of informative, concise seminars designed to crystallize the issues and challenges surrounding the US struggle to address the global and domestic proliferation of new forms of gambling across digital media.

Congressman Joe Barton will be keynoting from the federal perspective while New Jersey’s Senator Raymond Lesniak, fresh off of a ballot victory to legalise sportsbetting in that state, will give the view from the states. Iowa Senator and President Pro Tem Jeff Danielson will also join the speakers panels along with lottery and gaming directors from Iowa, New Hampshire, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri and Pennsylvania.

In addition, experienced veterans in the industry from around the world will also help get you up-to-speed on the nuts and bolts of how the industry works covering such topics as: security, financial transactions, age verification, geolocation, social media, advertising and other key issues of interest to those looking forward to offering these products in the future. A resource panel and guide to standards from around the world which guide the delivery of these products will be offered to attendees.
