First level expansion pack opens up the Peanut Butter Plains, offering ten new levels.
 
The runaway success of BetSoft Gaming's SugarPop! 3D slot has prompted the software development company to release a first level expansion pack.
 
Launched in November last year, SugarPop! was one of the first video slots to  incorporate concepts that are more commonly found in casual and social gaming markets, such as level progression, persistent game scores, and bonus objectives.
 
Feedback from operators and players alike has been unanimous, according to a BetSoft spokesman, who revealed that there has been demand for more of the same.
 
That demand was anticipated, and the design of the game is such that it can support a continuous stream of new "added value" content.
 
This first expansion pack opens up the Peanut Butter Plains, which offers ten new levels and a new Special Candy – the Peanut Butter Cup. This icon has an exciting effect on the surrounding candies – when the Peanut Butter Cup appears on the candy grid, it squirts out multiple splashes of peanut butter, which, when they land on adjacent candies, prompts a free respin.
 
"This record-setting game has thousands of players," said Anthony Locke, BetSoft's head of product development Monday.
 
"It is very clear that players want more of what SugarPop! offers them – progressive levels, achievements, and the excitement of exploring a new game world. To that end, BetSoft will be revealing more level expansion packs in the near future."
