888 Launches The Money Drop

The Money Drop is now live at 888.it
 
Leading online entertainment companies Endemol and 888.com have combined to launch an innovative new internet game branded The Money Drop on the 888 website this week.
 
The new offering joins Affari Tuoi, Endemol Games' first game for 888 Italy, which launched last autumn.
 
The UK television version of the game – The Million Pound Drop – is currently showing on Channel 4.
 
Press material from the partnership describes the game as a nail biting TV game show that can be simultaneously played online at home. It has proved popular in over 17 countries, including the USA, Russia, Australia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Israel, Hungary, Albania, Greece, Poland, Italy, Brazil, and the Netherlands
 
The Money Drop involves high stakes money and extraordinary jeopardy through which first time contestants can win big – or lose it all.
 
Contestants are given a large sum of cash as the game starts, but eight questions stand in the way of them taking the windfall home, and the wrong moves can bring disaster.
 
The show’s tension is played out across four trapdoors, on which the answers to each question are displayed. All the contestants have to do is put their money on the right answer. If they are unsure of the answer they can spread the money across the trap doors, but if the answer is wrong their money will fall through the floor and be lost forever.
