Thomas Winter Hired By Golden Nugget

Golden Nugget Casino owner Landry's Inc. has appointed Thomas Winter (39) to the position vice president of online gaming in a bid to advance the launch of its internet betting service in Nevada and New Jersey.
 
Winter previously served as chief operating officer and chief executive officer during his tenure at Betclic.
 
Steve Scheinthal, executive vice president and general counsel for Landry's said in a Bloomberg interview that "U.S. casino operators are tapping European executives to draw on their expertise in an industry that is legally established in 10 countries".
 
But, on the back of a series of poor results, the Golden Nugget is apparently open to acquisition proposals with investment bank Houlihan Lokey showing an interest on behalf of unidentified clients, earlier this week
