Tony Dunst Wins WPT Caribbean

Monday November 25 ,2013 : INTERNET PRO WINS WORLD POKER TOUR CARIBBEAN

Casino Royale on St, Maarten the venue for Dunst's $145,000 victory.

Live and internet poker pro and tournament commentator Tony "Bond18" Dunst displayed his usual class and talent over the weekend in taking down the $3,500 buy-in NLHE main event at the World Poker Tour Caribbean, held this year at the Casino Royale on St. Maarten island.

Battling his way through an entry field of 190 other players, and a final table that included the redoubtable German pro Marvin Rettenmaier, Dunst finished the last phase of the game with a 5 to 1 chip lead against heads up opponent, former WPT champ Giacomo Fundaro.

After several hands Fundaro staged a come-back by doubling up at hand 90 and narrowing the chasm between his and Dunst's chip counts. The two fought on until Dunst secured a massive pot at hand 115 which all but crippled his opponent, and by hand 120 it was all over – Dunst claimed the trophy, the $145,000 main prize and a $15,400 seat at WPT World Championship next year, leaving Fundaro with the runner up prize of $100,000.

Other final table pay-outs included:

Severin Schleser $63,500
Marvin Rettenmaier $46,800
Zoltan Purak $35,900
Robert Bakker $28,700
