Treasure Hunt New Geosweep Game

Thursday September 12,2013 : GEONOMICS ADDS TO GEOSWEEP PORTFOLIO

Draws on Tipp24 investment

Geonomics, previously known as Roboreus, has recently added a second-chance offering to its GeoSweep portfolio titled Treasure Hunt, an instant-win treasure-finding game for the US lottery market.

The launch of the new product and a corporate rebrand follows a GBP 10 million investment by Tipp24 for a 25.7 percent stake in the company finalised in December 2012.

Geonomics said it has drawn on Tipp24’s expertise in user experience, marketing and customer retention and its own development team in creating Treasure Hunt.

Chief executive officer James Oakes is optimistic about the coming year saying: “We’ve been working hard on refining both our draw-based and instant win offerings, making our platform flexible to the needs of lotteries of varying sizes. We’re also pushing the boundaries of the technology incorporated in our games. For example, working mobile functionality into our offering is the next logical step – especially since the focus of our games is location.

“Our online game that’s live in the UK continues to be a strength in terms of development, enabling us to constantly test updates to the game on actual players – and we have plans to expand our player base here in the UK in the coming months.

InfoPowa readers will recall Canadian Atlantic Lottery Corporation abandoning the GeoSweep online game earlier this year.  Chief financial officer Patrick Daigle said at the time that the game hadn't lived up to its potential in that particular market.  Atlantic Lottery Corporation had bought a Cdn$ 8.7 million stake in Geonomics (formerly Roboreus) around 2011
