2/8/10 – The Pokerstars.net marketing arm of the world's largest online poker site scored a solid coup last week with the announcement of a deal with Canadian sports broadcaster TSN to create a custom built poker environment for poker players.
"Poker's popularity in Canada continues to grow and the TSN Poker Club gives poker players of all levels a chance to get into the action and win exclusive prizes," said Geoff Fardy, Canada country manager for PokerStars.net.
The club will allow members to enter a series of free-to-play tournaments – three a day through to July 31st – with prizes of poker tables, snowboards and other goodies all for free, at the same time honing their online poker skills Poker.tsn.ca and providing them with poker news and other content.
"Poker on TSN has always attracted a loyal and dedicated audience of fans who love the thrill of high stakes competition," Shawn Redmond, vice president of marketing, TSN observed. "The TSN Poker Club gives our fans the opportunity to get in the game with PokerStars.net's industry-leading software, the best game selection and access to exclusive tournaments and prizing."
