Two major online gambling information and promotional companies, both offering free games and online casino reviews, became one this week when US-based VegasSlotsOnline.com paid $500,000 to acquire Europe-facing MrGamez.com.
 
The two companies will continue to operate separately but as close partners.
 
VegasSlotsOnline spokesman Josh Turner said the acquisition would enable his company to expand into a wider demographic, increasing its market share.
 
Turner added that the acquisition formed part of the company's strategy to buy quality operations in order to ultimately achieve industry leadership in the information portal sector.
 
Turner claims that a mixed demographic of over 800,000 a month routinely visits VegasSlotsOnline.
 
VegasSlotsOnline operates from Nevada in the United States, but has plans to open an office in Malta soon.
