Vic Palermo seeks Nevada DFS License

Nevada regulators have opined that DFS is gambling, and an industry veteran has therefore applied for a licence.
 
Vic Palermo, an experienced entrepreneur and gambling operator who founded American Wagering Inc (subsequently sold to William Hill plc) has surfaced in the midst of the daily fantasy sports furore in Nevada, applying for a state off-track, pari-mutuel sports system operator’s  licence for his new US Fantasy DFS company.
 
Our readers will recall that the Nevada regulators have expressed the view that daily fantasy sports activity constitutes gambling.
 
If successful, Salermo hopes to have a Nevada-legal DFS operation up and running in time for next year's NFL season….with a white label capability to boot.
