Details about the fifth instalment of the World Cup of Poker have been released, including the amount of cash winners can expect to pocket.
It will take place in the Bahamas and will run in conjunction with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), which is scheduled to take place between January 5th and 10th.
Players from all over the world will compete in the competition to win a share of $290,000 in cash prizes.
The teams that finish in the top nine will cash and the overall winners will take home $100,000, the equivalent of $20,000 for each competitor.
Teams that finish in the top nine will receive all-expenses paid trips to play live in the PCA at the Atlantis Resort and Casino.
Costa Rica, hosts of the first leg of the Latin American Poker Tour, have won the competition twice, Poland have notched up one win and the US are the current champions.
The World Cup of Poker features teams of five players who compete against other nations in heads-up no-limit hold'em games.
