Canadian horse racing operator Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) has launched a new mobile wagering website in response to consumer demand and the popularity of the mobile channel.

The company's new HorsePlayer Interactive (HPI) Mobile Betting platform allows customers to place bets through a user-friendly interface as well as offering live video streaming, account funding, results, replays and access to the HPI rewards programme.

Optimized for iPhone and Android smartphones, the website is also compatible with a wide range of other mobile devices and screen sizes.

“Today’s launch is further proof that WEG is the industry leader in technology, horse racing, gaming and entertainment.   Mobile devices have become powerful mini-computers with high-speed networks and data plans that are more affordable and accessible,” said Nick Eaves, WEG’s President and C.E.O.  “This new mobile site takes advantage of these realities and is much like using a self-serve terminal in the palm of your hand.”
