Ravee Mathi Sundar wins WPT Rolling Thunder

Friday March 20,2015 :  POKER PLAYING SOFTWARE ENGINEER TRIUMPHS IN HIGH ROLLER TOURNEY

Sundar joins another major final table in a week….and this time he wins the main prize.

Californian software engineer and enthusiastic poker fan, Ravee Mathi Sundar, is having a great week, competing on two major tournament final tables and finishing fifth on one and top dog on the other.

Sundar started out on his winning way last week with a $168,260 sixth placing in the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star competition  and has now followed this up with a $266,857 main prize triumph in the World Poker Tour Rolling Thunder tournament in Lincoln, California.

Entering the final table with the second largest chip stack, Sundar faced Jesse Rockowitz, Taylor Paur, Harrison Gimbel, Rex Clinkscales and Jeff Griffiths.

After a long battle at the three-handed stage Taylor Paur, fresh from a $1.2 million win in the Bay 101 Shooting Star himself , was eliminated by Sundar in third for $113,154, clearing the way for a heads up between Sundar and fellow Californian Jesse Rockowitz.

Armed with a 4 to 1 chip lead, Sundar immediately went on the attack, and it took just a few more hands to dispatch Rockowitz with the runner up prize of $176,018.
