5050Poker taken off the Swedish Nasdaq First North exchange
5050Poker, the latest Malta-licensed online poker room to go to the liquidators owing players, has been delisted from the Swedish Nasdaq First North exchange.
The company issued a statement Tuesday confirming that its last day of trading would be this Friday, July 20.
Players on the site, which operated on the Entraction network, are unlikely to be pleased with the results of the liquidation, which unlike the Purple Lounge affair has listed players as creditors and not walked away from them entirely. However, they are not expected to get more than 15 cents in the dollar
According to reports circulating on internet poker sites, the owners of 5050Poker have not been able to sell the failed site.
The company said in a statement:
“In order to improve the players’ situation there are discussions with other potential stakeholders with an interest in 5050 Poker Ltd. The company hopes that these discussions will result in an improvement of the players’ ability to recover a greater amount of their claims on 5050 Poker Ltd.”
