WSOP Update : $50 000 buy-in Player’s Championship


5/31/10 – We're close to the final table of the $50 000 buy-in Player's Championship tourney at the 41st World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, with the 21 survivors of an original 116-strong field bagged up at the end of Day 3.
 
Average stack as play closed was around $828 572 with Michael Mizrachi making an impressive last minute sprint to head the chip counts on 1.48 million while David Oppenheim and Abe Mosseri were close behind him with around one million apiece. 
 
Among the other big name eliminations  are Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Barry Greenstein, Scotty Nguyen, Phil Ivey and Jeffrey Lisandro.
 
The steadily diminishing band of survivors currently includes Daniel Alaei, Robert Mizrachi, Allen Bari, James Van Alstyne, John Juanda, Kirk Morrison, Andy Bloch and Erik Seidel.
