Betsoft and casinoroom in deal

6/2/10 – Online gambling software provider Betsoft has followed up on its successful signing of the Grande Prive online casino group earlier this year by inking another licensee agreement, this one with CasinoRoom.com.

Betsoft software will be used to augment CasinoRoom’s existing Ongame platform

"We are delighted to announce this agreement with CasinoRoom," says Aliya Alpiyeva, BetSoft's Director of Marketing.

"CasinoRoom is one of the finest online gaming establishments in the industry, and we feel confident that their already robust and popular platform will be further enhanced with the addition of the BetSoft Gaming casino offering."

Thor Sun, a director of CasinoRoom and EuroPoker commented: "We look for the highest quality in the products we offer to our large and loyal customer base, and BetSoft's remarkable catalogue of games will absolutely satisfy that need."

The deal sees the apparent resurrection of a former Bwin Interactive-Ongame brand in CasinoRoom, which just over a year ago closed its doors on April 14 2009 along with sister PokerRoom, with players absorbed by Bwin.

At that time CasinoRoom.com was using Net Entertainment software – one of 8 online gaming sites owned by Bwin Interactive Entertainment AG.

Back in 2006, CasinoRoom was operated by Safepay Int S.R.L, part of the Ongame Group which had been in business since 1999 and was subsequently acquired by Bwin.

In January 2009, affiliates were told that players on PokerRoom and EuroPoker would be absorbed by Bwin.

The Bwin-Ongame group does not accept US action.

At the end of last (May 2010) month EuroPoker director Thor Sun announced that the CasinoRoom-EuroPoker sites are to launch a sports betting service using OddsMatrix, the fully managed sportsbook white labeler.

The new sports betting service is to be called BetCrib  and is touted as “a continuation of the operator’s strategy of having distinct brands for each of its gaming products, such as EuroPoker and CasinoRoom.com.”

Established in 2005, EuroPoker has become a popular brand in Europe, and along with sister site CasinoRoom is based in Costa Rica, although it does not accept US players.
