Online poker pro loses $477 000…in a single night

Posted 2/25/11 : Online poker pro loses $477 000…in a single night

The action on the internet high stakes tables at Full Tilt Poker.com and Pokerstars.com is usually hectic, with large amounts of money crossing the virtual tables as the pros challenge each other, but occasionally a hit so big that it deserves reportage happens, and that happened this week to Jared ‘harrington25' Bleznick.

Bleznick is a successful New York-based nosebleed player on both Full Tilt and Pokerstars, but he lost bigtime this week…to the tune of $477 000 in one night.

The young ace ran positive total balances in the hundreds of thousands on the two sites into a scary loss, starting off at Pokerstars with 1,071 hands of $100/$200 PLO against several players and finishing down $323 000.

Moving across to Full Tilt, perhaps in an attempt to get back in the black, Bleznick mixed it up with another player on the $1,000/$2,000 Limit Hold’em tables. It didn't help…'Harrington25′ took another $169 000 hammering in 659 hands!

Deducting his wins, Bleznick was down on the evening by $477 000, although his Pokerstars and Full Tilt accounts still show positive balances that would be the envy of many a player.

Vying with Bleznick for the biggest loser of the night was one of his opponents, ‘MrSweets28', who suffered a loss of $400 000 during his session on Pokerstars.

Conversely, player ‘Compris' scored $460 000 over the night session – again at Pokerstars. And at least five players logged off with well over $100 000 apiece in profits.
