MAJOR AND INNOVATIVE POKER TOURNEY PLANNED FOR WEMBLEY STADIUM

Tuesday October 4, 2011 : If you haven't heard of ISPT.com yet, you soon will…

A company that is becoming increasingly familiar to online poker players, Groupe Bernard Tapie (that's right – the putative buyers of Full Tilt Poker) is seemingly involved in a proposed new poker tournament scheduled for Wembley Stadium near London with a guaranteed prize pool of $30 million.

News of the tournament and its organiser, ISPT.com, surfaced on the twoplustwo message board this week with posters directing other readers to the ISPT website, which sports a spectacular and very professional high definition advertisement for the event, indicating video terminal style gaming in a massive arena.

ISPT, it transpires, is the acronym for International Stadiums Poker Tour, which is planning to hold the inaugural tournament from May 10 through 12, 2012, with more to follow at suitably attractive locations.

And it turns out that Groupe Bernard Tapie owns a 30 percent chunk of ISPT in partnership with French television giant Prosper Masquelier.

The implications for Full Tilt Poker involvement, should the Tapie acquisition go through, are obvious.
