Kate Chambers Takes over Clarion Gaming

3/18/10 – Industry show organiser Clarion Gaming (they're the folks that put together IGE and ICEi) have announced the departure of current head of shows honcho Emma Green for pastures elsewhere and the appointment in her position of Kate Chambers.

Chambers comes well experienced to the post of Show Director; she is a qualified strategic director of global events, and has held a raft of senior positions within the international events, exhibitions and media sectors, most recently with the multi-national UBM Group where she fulfilled roles as group director for meetings & leisure, a division of the UBM Live portfolio, and group director for international media. She has also worked with major industry brands including EMAP Communications and Reed Exhibitions.

In her new post Chambers will report directly to md Julian Graves.

Commenting on the appointment, Julian Graves said: “Kate’s career history is underpinned by an ability to consistently produce leading events and exhibitions through a combination of clear strategic thinking, a ‘customer first’ mindset and sheer hard work. We are delighted to have her leading our new team and she will have Clarion Board’s full support in deploying fresh new strategies to take the gaming industry’s event of the year to another exciting level.”

Chambers said: "Looking at the [IGE] show from a professional perspective, the previous teams have been highly successful in putting together a vibrant, truly international event which even in difficult times has delivered for its exhibitors. Clearly there are some really exciting opportunities to take the exhibition forward with a fresh perspective, new inspiration and a commitment to work with the industry in everything that we do.”
