Impressive 700 percent rise in gross profit
 
The UK-based online gambling and media company, Media Corp has unveiled an impressive set of full year results to September 30 2010, showcasing a 700 percent rise in gross profits.
 
The group, which includes gambling.com and online casino purple-lounge.com, posted gross profit of GBP 6.3 million (FY/2009: GBP 900 000).  Revenues reached GBP25.6 million (FY/2009: GBP 3.5 million).
 
CEO, Justin Drummond reported to investors: “While increased marketing and software costs impacted profitability in the second half, the additional marketing spend has delivered substantial growth in player numbers and revenues.”
