Expanded horse race pool betting service for Belgian punters
 
An extension to an agreement signed last year between French operator Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) and Ladbrokes has culminated in the launch of an International horse race pool betting service through Ladbrokes' Belgian betting shops.
 
Through the service Belgian punters will have access to an international pool, where PMU has similar agreements with operators in other countries that include France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany.
 
The partnership is a first for PMU in Belgium and is based on a similar format to its successful 20-year partnership in Switzerland with LORO.
 
While this expanded service bears out PMU's International development growth strategy, PMU and Ladbrokes' French horse race betting partnership generated Euro 800 000 in 2011.
