Bet Butler in Trouble With ASA

Documentary evidence required to support claims
 
Betclearer Ltd trading as Bet Butler has been challenged before the UK Advertising Standards Authority on whether their claim of offering the best price on their How it Works page was misleading.
 
Bet Butler said while it aimed to provide the best available price to its customers through comparison, they could provide no documentary evidence to support the claim.
 
ASA research found it too had found better odds than Bet Butler was offering through an alternative provider and ordered the ad to not appear again in its current form.
 
The ASA reminded the firm to ensure "they held robust documentary evidence to support future claims".
