Betonline New Management

4/16/10 – Two former BetonSports online gambling executives have joined forces to take over the troubled BetonLine.com, a sportsbook using DGS and Parlay Entertainment software licensed in Panama that was recently rated as a mediocre 2.5 at the respected and independent Bookmakers Review site – "bookmakers with more blemishes than strengths and/or vulnerable to problems and adverse business conditions."

The new owners are reportedly ex-BoS managers Clive Archer and Dalton Wagner, who both have extensive experience in the business and were with BoS when that company was taken down by the US Justice Department. Assuming the new team has the right sort of capital behind them, this experience should herald an improvement in operations.

The change of ownership may have been spurred by legal difficulties involving a reportedly founding member of BetonLine called Joseph J. Farfone of Ontario county. Farfone was the subject of press publicity in February this year and October last when he and 30 others were reportedly arrested on "bookmaking charges" and linked to a gambling ring that generated some $587 million.

The media reports recounted that Fafone was arrested at the airport on his way to Panama. BetOnline.com in Panama would not comment on any activities in the United States.

When InfoPowa went to press a confirmation from Betonline on the change of ownership was awaited.
