UK Gambling Commission Going After Bitcoin Operators

Bitcoin falls under Gambling Commission’s “money’s worth” category.

The UK Gambling Commission has written to a number of unlicensed Bitcoin operators who are offering their services in the UK market.

The authority clarified that it considers Bitcoin to fall under the category of “money’s worth” saying any operator offering the facility requires an operating licence and without which they are operating illegally.
