The surge in demand for Bitcoins has made this poker player a Euro millionaire
 
The Cyprus banking crisis, and the consequent rocketing value of the Bitcoin virtually currency has boosted one player's fortunes dramatically.
 
The publication Card Player reports that theplayer, a member of the Switch Poker site who has asked to remain anonymous, squirreled away his winnings by converting them to Bitcoins, over the last twelve months accumulating some Euro 150,000.
 
Taking the soaring value of the currency – from $31 at the end of February this year to around $250 at present, the player's rainy day savings are now worth around Euro 1.2 million.
