Carbon Poker Quits 2plus2

Monday September 23 ,2013 : ANOTHER ONLINE POKER OPERATOR QUITS 2+2

Players speculate on Carbon Poker's shut down of its twoplustwo support forum.

The Merge Poker Network's premier US-friendly skin, Carbon Poker, has followed rival Lock Poker in shutting down its dedicated support forum on the major poker information site twoplustwo.

Troubled Lock Poker closed its twoplustwo channel several months ago, referring players to its own heavily moderated and restricted entry forum if they have issues they wish to debate.

In a company announcement, a Carbon Poker representative offered the same alternative arrangement, saying that the decision was an amicable one, and that in future all feedback, questions and promotional clarification will be done through Carbon Poker support email or LiveChat on the company's website.

But the lack of a reason for the decision inevitably triggered player speculation, prompting Carbon to issue a further brief statement saying:

"It was a decision that Carbon management made to streamline and improve their customer support and they aren’t leaving because they’re upset with TwoPlusTwo in any way."

Players continued to speculate, however, with some pointing out that "renting" dedicated forum space from twoplustwo is expensive, and the company may be simply cutting costs.
