PartyPoker Expands Casual Cash Games

Monday September 29,2014 :  PARTYPOKER EXTENDS RANGE OF UNIQUE CASUAL CASH GAMES FORMAT AFTER SUCCESSFUL TRIAL

After a successful trial, casual player focused online gaming site partypoker has announced plans to expand the range of its unique real money poker format Casual Cash Games in its global online poker room.

The Casual Cash Game format enables players who prefer to play on a single cash game table at a time to only play with other players with the same preference. So far, Casual Cash Games tables have only been available at a few selected No Limit Holdem stake levels. But as of Monday September 29, Casual Cash Games will be offered on all No Limit Holdem stakes and all tables types (9-max, 6-max and Heads up) up to and including the $0.50/$1 level, where CCG are already being offered.

The site will also introduce a $10/$20 Casual Cash Game to meet the needs of a hitherto underserved group of recreational high-stakes players. Standard cash game tables will not be made available at $10/$20.

Players’ response to the trial exceeded all expectations and the primary goal of the Casual Cash Games format – to tailor an experience for people looking for a more relaxed and entertaining poker game experience – has been met. Play on Casual Cash Games is also generally more action-packed than on comparative tables, as more players see flops, turns and rivers. The multi-table restriction that makes Casual Cash Games unique does not apply to tournaments. So anyone looking for a big score or to secure first-place in a Sit & Go tournament while playing Casual Cash Games can do so.

“A majority of the players who play poker online prefer to focus on a single cash game at a time. Introducing games that better suit those players’ needs is a great move.  I’m confident that Casual Cash Games can exist while still enabling players like me, who also enjoy the intensity of multi-table grinding, to flourish,” said Team partypoker’s Mike Sexton.

Casual Cash Games are found in the main cash game lobby and are distinguished from standard tables by a smiley icon J. partypoker plans to introduce Casual Cash Games in some of its other markets later this year.
