Cyber Palace Cafe In Massachusette Raided

Police investigations started almost as soon as this Massachusetts cyber cafe opened
 
Police in Peabody, Massachusetts report that 25 computers allegedly used for illegal online gambling were seized in a police raid on the Cyber Palace Cafe this week, and are the subject of a forensic inspection.
 
The raid followed extensive multi-agency undercover investigations which were started shortly after the business opened, a police spokesman revealed.
 
No arrests were made in the police action, in which evidential documentation and records were also impounded.
 
A police spokesman said: “Based on findings of the multi-agency investigation, it was determined that gaming violations were being committed in violation of Massachusetts General Laws. No arrests have been made; gaming charges are pending based on the final outcome of the investigation.”
 
Other agencies contributing to the investigation included the Lynn Police Vice Squad and members of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Cyber Crime Unit.
 
Persons under investigation include the owners and operators of the enterprise, and those who provided the equipment and software.
 
The business has closed its doors, according to the police.
