Wsop Event 55 : 11 Players Remain


Wednesday July 6, 2011 : Just past midnight Vegas time Tuesday-Wednesday a battle royal was still in progress on event 55: $50,000 Poker Player's Championship, where just 11 top players were still competing fiercely at level 20 on the fourth day of the event.
 
Josh Arieh led a field of 29 players starting day 4 with 1.8 million in chips, chased by Brian Rast with 1.63 million. Still in the field with million plus chips were George Lind III, Vladimir Shchemelev, Phil Hellmuth, and Scott Seiver.
 
Playing into the small hours of Wednesday morning, all eleven survivors were in the money, the bubble having burst at position 16. Officials laid out the plan for the day, explaining that the eight-game format will continue until a final table of nine is reached, at which point the game will switch to no limit hold’em.
