Everest Poker One main event generated a Euro 1 071 850 prize pool
 
221 international players, many of them respected names on the global live tournament circuit, gathered at the prestigious Salle des Palmiers in Monaco over the weekend to compete in the inaugural Everest Poker One main event.
 
The field generated a prize pool worth Euro 1 071 850, with the main prize of Euro 300 000 going to German pro Julian Kabitzke after a tense heads up against Alexander Debus, who claimed the runner up prize of Euro 170 000.
 
Two Everest online players who qualified on the internet, Julien Pouchain from France (6th – Euro 58,000) and Australian, Joel Dodds (3rd – Euro 112,000) made the final table.
 
Kabitzke also qualified online, winning his main event seat at Expekt Poker to play in his first major live tournament.
 
Among the big names who registered for the main event were Markus Lehmann, Kevin MacPhee, Isabelle Mercier, Tobias Reinkemeier and Fabrice Soulier.
 
The final table was made up of Kabitzke and Debus, along with Joel Dodds, Alessio Isaia, Xavier Carruggi, Julien Pouchain, Adrian Aston, Marc Sander and Manuel Bevand.
