Fox SPorts and WPT In TV Poker Deal


Friday June 7,2013 : FOX SPORTS AND WPT IN PROGRAMMING DEAL
 
Three-year deal will provide American broadcaster with over 100 hours of programming
 
U.S. TV broadcaster Fox Sports Networks will provide poker fans with another three years of coverage of the World Poker Tour land-based poker tournament in an agreement signed this week.
 
Programming will begin from 29 August 2013 with coverage of World Poker Tour (WPT) Season XII kicking off at the Bicycle Casino in California.
 
“Our strategy of global expansion is now being fully realised,” said Adam Pliska, President for the World Poker Tour.  “From 18 events in Season VIII to nearly 60 main tour, regional and national events in Season XI, World Poker Tour will provide Fox Sports Networks with nearly 100 hours of original programming over the course of this agreement.
