American subscription-based online poker room Gold Strike Poker has rebranded and changed its name to Gold Rush Poker.net in a strategic push it says is in anticipation of the legalization of online poker in the country.
 
"It's not a question of if online poker will be legalized," said John George, CEO, Gold Rush Poker. "It's a question of when. We have made strategic alliances with several industry leaders to ensure GoldRushPoker.net will be a household name."
 
GoldRushPoker.net has embarked on a national television and print campaign and has been selected by the Independent Casino Online Network as its official platform for online gaming in America.
 
Members are charged a monthly membership fee of $19.95 and the company states that it operates legally under the sweepstakes laws in 38 of the 50 United States.
