Isildur1 Wins 10k Pokerstars Scoop Main Event

Tuesday May 28,2013 : ANOTHER HUGE ONLINE POKER WIN FOR SWEDISH ACE

Viktor ‘Isildur1' Blom scoops a million dollars at Pokerstars

Swedish online poker ace Viktor Blom left his customary hunting ground on the high stakes tables at Full Tilt this week to have a go at the $10,000 buy-in Pokerstars SCOOP main event online tournament, and the move paid off handsomely.

The young pro scored $1.1 million in besting 579 other entrant, who generated a gigantic prize pool of $5.8 million, from which 72 players cashed.

On the final day of the tournament Blom was among the top chip counts of the 74 survivors at that point, and he maintained a high position as players were eliminated in the run for a seat at the final table.

By then Blom was around the middle of the chip stacks on a table that included opponents like Noah "Exclusive" Boeken (Netherlands); cmontopdeck (United Kingdom); Mike "munchenHB" Telker (Cyprus); Sergio "zcedrick" Aido (United Kingdom); Ravi "govshark2" Raghavan (Canada); w4ldo (Germany); leshkaGmBlZ (Russia) and Amadi_017 (United Kingdom).

With the departure of cmontopdeck for $591,600, it was Blom and Noah Boeken facing each other in the heads up, with the Dutchman holding a 3 to 1 advantage in chips.

That appeared to make little difference to Blom, who showed his skill, focus and boldness in an exciting finale that saw him claw back the lead to ruthlessly demolish Boeken in just under an hour of hectic action.

Boeken still did rather well out of the clash – his second placing pay check was worth $803,300.
