Jonathan Duhamel Finds Stolen WSOP Bracelet

02/19/2012 : WSOP CHAMP'S BRACELET RECOVERED (Update)

Damaged it may be, but this jewellery has a sentimental value for the winner

World Series of Poker champ Jonathan Duhamel's winner's bracelet appears to have done some travelling since it was stolen from him in a robbery in Montreal earlier this year.

The French poker information site Prince Poker reported on the jewellery's latest location – back with its owner – this week.

According to the report, it appears that the bracelet was abandoned somewhere in Montreal's Ville-Marie tunnel, and was swept up by street cleaning vehicles last week.

A police spokesman revealed that Denis Theriault, an employee of the cleaning company, had found the battered bracelet among the trash swept up from the tunnel and immediately informed the police.

The bracelet was scratched and damaged, with much of it missing, but Duhamel was reportedly delighted to have it back for sentimental reasons.

Most of the cash and jewellery stolen from Duhamel has now been recovered and the perpetrators of the crime, who include an ex-girlfriend, have been convicted and are due to be sentenced soon.
