April Record Numbers for Macau Casinos

5/4/10 – Gross gambling revenues in Macau created a new record in April, according to reports from the Lusa news agency, soaring to an unprecedented 70 percent higher that the previous April to hit
14.1 billion Macau patacas.
 
The new record tops the almost 14 billion patacas achieved in January this year.
 
Returns from operators showed that SJM Holdings Ltd. continued to lead market share with slightly above 33 percent, followed by Las Vegas Sands Corporation’s Sands China Ltd. with 21 percent, and Wynn Resorts Ltd’s Wynn Macau Ltd. on 14 percent.
 
Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd’s market share reached 13 percent, Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. 11 percent, and MGM Macau around 7 percent
