Wednesday, June 8 2011 : Mandalay Media enters into new venture
The UK-based Mandalay Media Group has launched its own bingo software platform under a new company Mandalay Gaming Holdings Ltd (Mandalay Gaming) with a new bingo brand the first to go live on the platform.
The platform will target the international bingo market with the company keeping its four other brands; Costa, Sing, City and Fancy on the UK-facing Dragon Fish / 888 software.
A company spokesperson said a year of development has gone into the system with over 5 000 players, sourced via a Facebook campaign, involved in a Beta testing phase that enabled the bingo community to test the capabilities of the system without any real money being played.
Richard Skelhorn, co-founder Mandalay Gaming Holdings said: "We knew if we wanted to attack the international market we needed a very strong cutting edge software product that could cope with the demands of an audience highly skilled in social media. Remember, when the online bingo industry first evolved social media was virtually unheard of, now we see it as key to our business.
