The Montenegro domain extension .me features in some hot internet gambling domains that the Sedo organisation will be putting up for auction soon.
 
Among the Google-friendly domains are gems like Roulette.me; CasinoOnline.me; PokerOnline.me; SportsBetting.me and Lotteries.me.
 
This domain auction also includes over 200 other premium domains including dot com’s, dot net and other popular domain extensions.
 
Compared with previous auctions, the current ‘gambling' offerings appear to carry lower reserve prices. Nevertheless, casino and gambling .me domains have been popular of late, with some going for over $10,000, say experts in the sector.
 
This genre of domain name has been popular with operators in Macau and the UK, who see value for SEO and marketing operations in these internet destinations.
 
The .me extension has been the Internet country code top-level domain (TLD) for Montenegro since 2008, and replaced the dot-YU (Yugoslavia) domain previously used by Serbia and Montenegro.
 
The .me domain names must be at least 3 characters and at most 63 characters in length, excluding the extension. Exceptions to this rule were granted to WordPress, for its URL shortener WP.me; to Facebook, for its short URL fb.me; to GoDaddy for its brief URL go.me; and to Yahoo!, for its snappy URL me.me
