Mecca Bingo drives effort to increase registrations and mobile downloads

Thursday September 8, 2011 :  Mecca Bingo has embarked on two recent awareness campaigns with the launch of a Facebook promotion and its “Milk Media” campaign.

The company's Birmingham-based agency 383 Project has launched a Facebook app that aims to find Britain's best bingo call in celebration of Mecca Bingo's 50th birthday.

Users are challenged to upload a video clip of them performing their best bingo call such as Jimmy Choo 32 and Vindaloo 52.

Every player that submits a bingo call video to their Facebook page will be sent an email containing a unique code, which will entitle them to a free bingo bonus of GBP 5 and a chance to win shopping vouchers totalling GBP 5 000.

Mecca Bingo’s new multimedia campaign features the strapline "Time for a Cuppa? Time for a Mecca moment!"

The advertising campaign dubbed the "Milk Media" campaign was launched by Boutique Media Communications and will appear on milk cartons throughout the UK Midlands and the North in an effort to drive new registrations to the website as well as generate an increase in its mobile applications using QR codes which appear on the milk carton labels.

The campaign will be supported by television, radio and online activity.

Simon Bollon from Boutique Media Communications said: “The Milk Media campaign is a first for Meccabingo.com and a great way to reach a wide audience and get the brand into people’s homes. It’s refreshing to be able to think outside the box with multi media campaigns and the client’s willingness to look at fun and innovative ideas is fantastic.”
