NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN MICROGAMING’S FRENCH MARKET AMBITIONS

6/1/10 – Online gambling software provider Microgaming, which recently unveiled its partnership with 888.com in a joint French online poker network, has made further French market-related announcements.

The new poker network sees the resurrection of an older Microgaming internet poker brand in Prima Networks Limited, which has been formed to operate the French network, and is the vehicle chosen to represent Microgaming in regulated markets. It is a totally separate company with an independent corporate structure distinct from the Microgaming Poker Network, which remains in operation.

This week an as yet unidentified major French land based casino operator signed up with the network subject to the requisite licenses being granted. The identity of the new client is at present confidential, although it is expected to be released in the not too distant future.

This new client will be provided with a bespoke, fully managed online poker solution from Spiral Solutions France, with software from Prima Networks Limited powered by Microgaming.

Spiral Solutions France is a new joint venture firm owned by Spiral Solutions Limited and the Santa-Maria group, which distributes Bally games and systems to the French land casino industry.

The joint venture will also provide advertising and marketing solutions to support the launch and operation of its clients’ online poker rooms through its links with the Santa Maria Group, which specialises in media buying for the emerging French e-gaming sector.

“We have experienced great success with Spiral Solutions in markets all over the world and we are delighted to team up again to bring a leading eGaming solution to the French market, said Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming
