MICROGAMING POKER NETWORK UPGRADES SOFTWARE

Thursday September 15,2011 : Usability updates, player feedback changes and new bonus tool

Online gaming software provider Microgaming has announced a new software version release on its Microgaming Poker Network (MPN).

The software version includes usability updates, additional changes based on player feedback and a new bonus tool for operators and players.

Changes based upon player requests include; larger cards, a change from 10 to 9 seat cash games tables, improvements to the configurability of the bet slider and a player's MTT schedule additions to the My Calendar feature.

Usability updates include a new Multi-Table Launcher, which allows players to open a new cash game table with a single click, Auto Buy-In, which is configurable by players and reduces the number of clicks when sitting down at a cash game table, and optimisation of the Bad Beat Jackpot.

A comprehensive bonus tool forms part of the new software version and includes both the standard pending bonus, which pays out after a player has satisfied pre-determined criteria, and the more rare, but very powerful, immediate bonus, which is given to players immediately upon being triggered and is protected from cash-out. Both bonuses are fully supported by back office and reporting tools. The bonus progress can be viewed by players in the poker lobby and in the new My Bonus webpage in the client. The bonus tool is an extension of the Loyalty System, released earlier in the year, to positive reviews.

While the release was taken live by Unibet on August 23, 2011, some updates, such as the larger cards and change from 10 to 9 seat tables, will only take place once the release is deployed across all the operators on the MPN in October.

Lydia Melton, Head of Network Games, Microgaming said: “At Microgaming we are constantly innovating and looking for ways to enhance our Poker product. The new features and functionality have been developed from listening to operator and player feedback and we are confident that the new software version will lead to an enhanced user experience.”

Daniel Eskola, Head of Poker at Unibet, added: “At Unibet, we are all very excited about this update, which brings in new functionality for ourselves and our players as well as improvements on old classics. This release demonstrates Microgaming’s commitment to on-going software development and responsiveness to player and operator requests.”
