Pro repeats his victory of last year

Poker pro Jason Mercier won the 2010 NAPT Mohegan Sun Bounty Shootout, and enjoyed the experience so much that he came back and did it again this year in the NAPT Mohegan Sun High Roller Bounty Shootout!

With seven bounties, Mercier faced off against a final table that included (with bounties) Taylor von Kriegenbergh 2; Joe Sweeney 6; Micah Raskin 3; Michael Pesek 2; Eugene Katchalov 4; Jimmie Guinther 3; Scott Blackman 4 and Jonathan Jaffe 2.

The bounty values were increased from $2 000 to $10 000 for the final table, sharpening up the competition in addition to a $20 000 bonus and a seat at the next NAPT bounty shootout for the winner, along with the $142 600 main prize.

In the end it was Eugene Katchalov and Jason Mercier as the survivors going into the heads up, with Mercier comfortably ahead on chips, and he wasted no time in exploiting his advantage to despatch Katchalov with a second placing check for $66 000.

With bounties (seven on his first table and a further three during the final), Mercier took home $246 000.
