Is the Canadian province of New Brunswick working toward its own interactive gambling system? Recent moves in the province, including the award of a $5 million research grant to a partnership of four Canadian entities, would suggest so.

The entities are a Canadian GTech company, tech company T4G, the New Brunswick Community College and First Mobile Entertainment, all of which will be involved in the development of a  new "multi-channel content application platform."

The initial project involves the establishment of an interactive gaming development team in Monckton, New Brunswick, which will work with the goal of developing a system through which new games can be simultaneously launched across several channels, including mobile and internet.
