Thursday November 6,2014 : NEW JERSEY REGULATOR APPROVES INDIAN TRIBE FOR INTERNET GAMBLING

Pala Interactive in second internet gambling partnership with the Borgata

New Jersey's Gaming Enforcement Division has authorised California Indian tribe Pala Interactive's partnership with the Borgata to offer internet gambling reports the Miami Herald.

Pala Interactive is headed up by former bwin.party co-chief executive Jim Ryan and the authorisation marks the first Indian tribe to operate online gambling in the State.

Perhaps not coincidental is the fact that the Borgata already partners bwin.party for online gambling in New Jersey, however, the Pala brand will run separately from the Borgata brand and bwin's Party Poker brands.

"Hopefully we're going to surprise and delight and build some meaningful market share in New Jersey," said Ryan.

Initially California was the market Pala Interactive were focused on and their internet gaming offer was built to take advantage of the introduction of regulated internet gambling in California, which to date has not materialised.  The Pala tribe's terrestrial property Pala Casino and Spa is situated in San Diego County, California.

Pala Casino.com expects to go live in New Jersey during the second half of November or early December following a five-day state mandated testing period. Check the new casino out here
