No RAKE at PartyPoker

Monday July 4, 2011 :  All multi-table tournaments currently rake free as Party goes after the business

In a move interpreted as a concerted effort to go after online poker players left stranded by Alderney's suspension of the Full Tilt Poker licensing, Party Poker.com has announced that all of its multi-table tournaments are now rake free with all fees eliminated.

The unprecedented move gives players real value for money – all deposits will go to the prizepool. A company spokesman said that as an example; $200 (buy-in) + $15 (entry fee) would now be $215 + $0.

The spokesman said: "In an industry first, all MTT's on PartyPoker.com are completely rake free. For example, the buy-in to a main online satellite for the Summer Million, the main event of which takes place on Sunday 7th August, has changed from $600+$40 to $640+$0, while the rake is also waived on all feeder qualifiers. As the rake free period applies to all MTT tournaments – qualifiers for events such as WPT Paris and GSOP Manchester also have new structures which incorporate no fees.

"Fees being waived on MTT's is just another reason why there has never been a better time to play at Party Poker.com in a secure environment where prompt payments are guaranteed whether you are a micro or high stakes player.

"We will continue this outstanding value promotion for as long as we can – we are already pleased with the positive response to this move we have seen from the poker community."

In related news, Paddy Power Poker.com has announced that it has doubled its first deposit bonus for new customers while rewarding existing patrons for a limited time with a full matching re-load bonus worth up to $10,000.

The Playtech-powered operator revealed that its expanded sign-up offer will see new players rewarded with a 200 percent first deposit bonus for anything up to $2,000 while its latest re-load windfall is being made available until July 14.

Players taking advantage of the re-load promotion are to be given 60 days to release this bonus by earning points in any of the real-money games offered at Paddy Power Poker.com while the site stated that it will also host Sunday night tournaments featuring a $200,000 guarantee alongside daily freerolls, regular money added events and an exclusive VIP programme.

“A lot of poker players in Europe are on tilt at the moment and not surprisingly. Some online poker rooms are simply full of it and have really let their players down. We’re here to help by offering new and existing players a solid, transparent and secure alternative with great bonuses, exclusive VIP treats and fun promotions and you’ll be able to play poker and access your money all of the time,” said a company spokesman this week.
